A LUNCH WITH LIONS
A Lunch with Lions relives a fond childhood memory where some of Earth’s greatest animals use their unique qualities to “save the day.” “Burgundy Banks” is the main character who, on his way to the zoo during a class field trip, accidentally falls asleep on the bus. While dreaming, Burgundy fantasizes a situation that finds him in need of the zoo’s animals. A Lunch with Lions is a fun and quirky story that aims to introduce and remind readers again why the animals of this world are so amazing!
The team behind A Lunch with Lions are advocates for conservation strategies that benefit species-at-risk. Community conservation focuses on building capacity and promoting ecological awareness. Reintroductions return endangered species to the wilderness in an effort to stop their extinction. As seen in the development of ethical zoos, animal care and their habitats include: the freedom to engage in daily life without undue fear or distress; the freedom to express a full range of normal behaviours; the freedom to secure sufficient food and water to nourish physical well-being; the freedom to avoid pain, injury, and sustain healthy conditions; and the freedom to make decisions and exercise reasonable control.
